In looking back at the first half of the season we can see many positive developments for Team FOG. With no less than 7 different players on the team this year, it has been a challenging and intriguing situation. With many of these players taking major roles on our team we are pleased with our progress to this point and look for a great improvement in our game performance as the season builds up to the playoffs in March.
As with any teams we have had a number of growing pains that have caused us some problems. Our performance, in particular, has been somewhat disappointing on our home court. It has been a positive upturn to see our play against Bakken in the cup semi finals and we hope our development continues from that point. In particular, our rebounding and shooting have been at a lower level that what we expected. Our keys to success for the coming 2nd half of the season will continue to be based on unselfish offensive play and an opportunistic defense.
It has always been the plan to have our team playing its best basketball at the end of the year…the real fun time of the year to be involved in the sport. Its really the time when all the lessons you have learned over the whole year come into play at the right time. Our goals for the rest of the season will be to secure a home court advantage for the slutspil and to put together our best basketball for the end of the season.
